Bespoke Wedding on Their Home Farm
June 8, 2024 | Cardinal Acres home farm
Heather and Kristian have always shared a love of a quiet life on a farm so together they made their dream come true and established their own farm, Cardinal Acres. It only made sense to have their wedding in the place they built together. The rainy afternoon delayed the garden ceremony so they opted to have cocktail hour first. Fresh eggs from their chickens, books they love as place cards and ceremony seating on hay bales were just a few details that made this event so bespoke. Heather’s dress was a highlight for me from one of my favorite designers, Flora and Lane. The billowing layers of embroidered floral appliques of blue, green and yellow were made for running through the fields just like in the movie adaptation of one of Heather’s favorite books, Pride and Prejudice. There was a true whimsical spirit of possibility that inspired me while capturing this day.
The ceremony was emotional and the vows were handwritten and heartfelt. Through joyful tears and laughter, Heather and Kristian were married. The reception began under a cotton candy, sunset sky and the whole family danced the evening away.
