For Roscoe Village residents Hannah and Ase, family are their fur children so for this couple session, we started at their home with their adorable black cats and puppy.

The Air and Water show was practicing during our session and the Blue Angels kept flying overhead so often to the point where I couldn’t talk to them to direct photos. Basically they did all of these cute photos watching me mime the poses to them because we were not able to talk AT ALL. It was SO loud!

Books have been a shared love and connection for Izzi and Miriam so naturally a bookstore was a must for their engagement session.

Indre and Oren’s longtime love of the Art Institute of Chicago led them to choose it as the backdrop of their engagement session.

There is nothing better than a Chicago summer. Erica and Greg are super easygoing and fun and their photos reflect their vibe completely. This engagement session happened on the Juniest June day, warm balmy air, a cool breeze, boats on the river and throngs of Chicagoans soaking it all in while it lasts.

This was my second time getting to photograph high school sweethearts, Amber and Luke. Their connection is so evident and the kind of love you see in older people who have been married for decades. This occasion for the session was to get photos in their new home. Their home has so much wonderful charm in all the antiques and family heirlooms with no shortage of beautiful natural light in streaming through the windows.

Meg and Sean enjoyed a beautiful Spring day in Lincoln Park. The floral trees were in full bloom and new greenery sprouted all around. Even the beach wasn’t too cold to visit and they danced under the moon as the waves glided on the shore.

Amy and Felix planned this gorgeous session in the Financial District! We had the best lighting and used the gold accents you can find throughout the whole street.

For most engagements, we plan out a general itinerary of locations but Meg and Chris had a different approach. They just wanted to go on a walk through their neighborhood of Lincoln Park. The spontaneity was a nice change and took a lot of the pressure off from making the most perfect images possible to “let’s just go for a walk and see what we find.”

Mikayla and Jesus’ engagement session was the perfect date in Avondale! This neighborhood has so much to explore! They also included their cute beagle, Coco!

Andrew and Lynn celebrated 40 happy years of marriage with their friends and family. They shared laughter, wine and memories over candlelight.

You know the dreamy feeling when night has just fallen and the lights flicker on all over the city? This is “blue hour” and it is shortly after golden hour. The darker lighting with the downtown lights made for some lovely results! Salma and Konrad’s engagement session was so memorable and fun!

Katie and Joe are a very colorful and fun couple! I shot their wedding back in 2018 so knowing them, I expected nothing less than wacky and over the top. The Museum of Ice Cream is such a great little spot in Chicago and the photo opportunities made this the perfect place for their anniversary session.

Alex planned the most epic proposal for his fiancée Sara. The two met through their love of music so the perfect place for this special proposal was on the stage of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra! Alex led Sara on stage under the guise of a private tour and played her a song on the grand piano. It was an unforgettable moment!

Tasha and Nate walked hand in hand on a walk they take often. Their local forest preserve turned into a snowy wonderland and the photos are just as magical.
