This is definitely my craziest wedding story ever! This couple is so near and dear to my heart and we have stayed in touch over the years. Way back in 2018, I was referred by a couple from a previous couple whose wedding I’d just done. This couple wanted a simple engagement session in Chicago’s Chinatown. I was really excited to meet them and capture these photos because locations like this are so creatively inspiring. After the session concluded, we started talking about their wedding. It turned out they didn’t have a wedding photographer and were struggling to find one in Hong Kong since they were planning it from Chicago. I instantly told them if they just paid my way there, I want to do it. I don’t know what came over me but I’m so glad I said this because after some consideration, they reached back out to me and told me I was going to Hong Kong!

This was the trip of a lifetime. I can’t even express how surreal this experience was. Always shoot your shot, because you never know where life will take you.
